We are dedicated to the health of your horse and  preventing common diseases by offering wellness exams, vaccinations, as well as deworming and nutritional program consults.

DENTAL EXAM/FLOAT

Proper dental care is required for the health and performance of your horse. A dental exam should be preformed annual, at minimum, to find and address small issues before they affect the health of the horse.

LAMENESS EVALUATION

We offer diagnostic and performance lameness exams. Dr. Christy is also able to perform intra-articular (joint) injections if indicated.

SPINAL MANIPULATION

This service is offered with a brief lameness exam to be sure that chiropractic services will benefit your horse or if a different veterinary approach may be more appropriate.

We offer portable radiograph and ultrasound procedures in order to evaluate your horse conveniently on farm.

Meet

Dr. Christy Sontag-Brasuhn

Dr. Christy was the typical little girl that was obsessed with horses from birth. Due to amazingly supportive parents, she started taking riding lessons from a very young and age and never looked back.

She attended the University of Minnesota, Morris for undergrad and graduated in 2012 with a bachelor of arts in biology and a minor in business.

She then went on to attend the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM in 2016. From there, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri to perform a one year internship at a equine surgical referral center where she continued to add to her skill base.

Her family consists of a very lovely husband and a herd of four-legged creatures (cats, dogs, goats, horses, and a very sassy miniature donkey). In her free time, Dr. Christy enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, a good cup of coffee. riding motorcycle, and spending time with her horses.
